The reason people call

Read the reviews before you read anything I wrote.

Nobody warns you about a garage door company until they have had to. Every quote on this page is complete, in the customer’s own words, exactly as they left it on Google.

“If you need anything garage door related, THIS IS THE COMPANY! My mother recently found herself in a predicament with a garage door that wouldn't go down. She googled garage door repair and was almost the victim of a horrible scam by a non local company claiming to be local. We quickly had her cancel the other service and my brother contacted Albany Saratoga Doors. Charlie was great from the first phone call to taking care of my mother in a professional, timely fashion. This company is more than fair with pricing. Charlie, if you read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my mother. I hope your kindness rewards you greatly.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would!

Charlie was incredibly easy to work with, and was able to fix our garage door opener quickly despite having to order specialty parts.

He was competent, professional, honest, and friendly. My wife and I truly appreciated his willingness to fully explain our options with an emphasis on what we actually needed versus what would yield him the greatest profit.

Thank you Charlie! Hopefully we won't need your services any time soon, but if we do, you will certainly be our first and only call!”

“The reviews are REAL. Charlie is honest, responsive, and reasonably priced. Our garage door spring broke Christmas weekend. Charlie arrived within an hour. When he did not have the replacement part on his truck, he drove an hour round trip Saturday night to find the part and returned the next day on Christmas Eve to fix the door. He's a machine! Anyone else would have price gouged us knowing that our car was stuck inside the garage at Christmas. Highly recommend!”

The work

No two of these are the same house.

Glass, carriage, woodgrain, slate, commercial, pole barn, new construction still in its sheathing. A garage door is the biggest thing on the front of most buildings, and the right one depends entirely on what it is going on.

Every section of that door is a different job, and every one of them is ours.

“I was thoroughly pleased with my experience with Albany Saratoga Doors. Charlie responded to my voicemail promptly and by sharing pictures of the broken springs, he was able to come the next morning prepared to fix my door. The bonus was the military discount he offered to me. A pleasure to do business with.”

“Had issues with my garage door — the cable slipped off, one panel was cracked, and both rolling coils needed fixing. He took care of everything quickly, adjusted and secured the cables, reinforced the panel, and got the coils working right. The door runs smooth now. Fair price, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. Highly recommend.”

Before you call

Questions I get asked.

Which counties do you cover?
Saratoga County, Albany County, Schenectady County, Rensselaer County and beyond. Home base is 28 Columbus Avenue, Waterford, New York.
Will you work on the door I already have?
Yes. We service and sell all brands of garage doors and garage door openers, so you are not stuck with whoever installed it.
What does an estimate cost?
Free estimates. Call 518-944-7472 or email Albanysaratogadoors@gmail.com and tell me what the door is doing.
Is this only for houses?
No. Residential, light commercial and storage unit doors — installation, repair and maintenance on all of them.
If it is a small fix, will you say so?
That is what the free estimate is for. Sensors, springs, cables and openers are all things I work on, and a door that will not close is not automatically a new door.
